Project Overview
Pacific Portable Buildings is proud to have contributed to the launch of the Otaihanga Zero Waste site, a new not-for-profit initiative by Kāpiti Coast District Council in partnership with Localised and the Sustainability Trust. This site is dedicated to revaluing, reusing, and repurposing construction and demolition waste.
We delivered a 23m x 10m Truss and Stretch system designed for efficient recycling drop-off, along with three 6m x 3m modular buildings that serve as site offices. These buildings were customised with HVAC units, additional windows, and sliding glass doors to ensure a comfortable and functional workspace for the team working towards a sustainable future.
The Otaihanga Zero Waste site is a community-focused hub where residents can drop off waste (fees apply) or find reusable materials for their DIY projects. This project aligns with our own values and commitment to providing high-quality, tailored solutions that support sustainability as well as community initiatives.
